LOOK: KOBE BRYANT DANCED TINIKLING DURING HIS FIRST MANILA VISIT

By KRISTOFER PURNELL

As a country of basketball fans, the Philippines is mourning deeply the tragic death of Los Angeles Lakers star and basketball legend Kobe Bryant, who passed away with his daughter Gianna along with seven others in a helicopter accident.

Kobe ranks as one of the most looked-up to basketball players by Filipinos along with the likes of Michael Jordan and LeBron James, and the love seems to be mirrored as he’s been to the Philippines six times—his last visit was in 2016, a few months after he retired.

The Black Mamba, as he is fondly called, first visited the country in 1998—two years after he debuted in the NBA fresh from high school. While many had an idea about how great a player he would soon become, not many expected him to have some mad dancing skills.

A video is currently going viral that shows Kobe in a barong Tagalog, with sampaguitas around his neck, dancing the tinikling—and we have to say, he was pretty good at it!

Check out Kobe’s tinikling moves below. Mamba Forever!
