Fashion designer Rosenthal Tee mounts clothing donation drive for typhoon victims

With the onslaught of typhoon “Ulysses” that caused mid-thigh flooding to her Marikina production studio which damaged stocks and interiors, fashion designer Rosenthal Tee appealed to the public to donate clothes for victims of the city in dire need of fresh garments.

Last Nov. 13, Mayor Marcelino Teodoro placed Marikina under a state of calamity after typhoon ‘Ulysses’ ravaged the city by swelling its river and flooding most areas. Rescue and evacuation operations were conducted with thousands of residents displaced.

“I’m appealing to everyone if you have spare clothes that you are no longer wearing, send it to me and I’ll send it to the communities in Marikina,” the designer said in her Instagram Story.

Rosenthal, through a Facebook post, sought help from friends and clients. “We’re knocking on your generous hearts and massive closets for clothing donations to provide for Marikina City’s affected families,” she said. “I’m sure that many of you are looking for ways to help, and if you find yourself decluttering clothes that are no longer giving you joy, send them over to me so we can donate it to those who would definitely appreciate it!”

Rosenthal is accepting donations to her fitting studio in Ortigas until November 18, Wednesday, 5pm. For inquiries, you may contact her at mobile no. 09178526923.
